LEADING YOURSELF FORWARD · SESSION 5 · BONUS

Sharpen Your Offer

Marketing does not create demand. It amplifies clarity.
THIS IS A BONUS, NOT AN ASSIGNMENT. Nothing in the program requires it. Use it if you want to sharpen the offer that sits at The Yes on your Customer Journey Map.

The last box on your journey map asks what they are agreeing to. That is your offer. If it is vague, every stage before it leaks, because there is nothing specific for anyone to move toward. This page is for making it specific.
Put a megaphone in front of a clear offer and the right people lean in. Put the same megaphone in front of a vague one and you do not get more clients.
You just make the vagueness louder. The question was never how do I market more. It was always what am I actually amplifying.

A sharp offer answers four questions before you say a word

Read these first. You will answer them for your own offer further down.

For whom?
One specific person in one specific moment. Not anyone who is ready.
What changes?
The before and the after. Where they are stuck, where they end up.
What is the container?
The shape of it. Sessions, weeks, a clear beginning and a clear end.
Why now?
The reason this moment and not someday. What makes it urgent for them.
Vague is not a wording problem. It is an unmade decision. You do not write your way to clarity. You decide your way there, and then the words get easy.

Same practitioner. Four decisions made.

BEFORE
I offer one to one breathwork sessions. $90 a session.
×For whom  Anyone, which means no one in particular feels spoken to.
×What changes  Unnamed. A session is a thing you do, not a result they get.
×Why now  No reason, so it waits until later, and later never arrives.
AFTER
A six week one to one breathwork journey for women in the first year after divorce who feel frozen and disconnected from their bodies. We release the grief they have been holding so they can feel safe, awake, and like themselves again.
For whom  Women, first year post divorce, frozen.
What changes  Held grief released. Safe and awake again.
The container  A six week one to one journey.
Why now  This year, while they are ready.
Nothing in the before is wrong. There is just nothing for a specific person to grab onto. Same practitioner, same skill, same price range. Four decisions is the whole difference.

Answer the four for your own offer

One person you have actually worked with or genuinely want to. Not a market.

Name the person and the moment they are in.
Where they start. Where you take them.
How long, what shape, where it begins and ends.
Why this moment and not someday.
Put the four answers into a single statement. Do not edit while you write. Get it down, then cut.

Can a stranger repeat it back?

If they cannot repeat it, they cannot refer you. Word of mouth runs on repeatable offers.

01
Say it out loud
As if you were telling a stranger at a party who asked what you do.
02
Read it to one person
A friend outside your field. Someone who does not already know your work.
03
Ask them to say it back
If they can, you are done. If not, cut a clause and go again.
The gap between what you wrote and what they repeated is the part that is not landing.

But will I lose everyone else?

Narrow does not shrink you. It makes you findable. A specific door is easier to walk through than a blank wall. Other people can still come in. The door just needs one clear name on it.

The same four questions sharpen a lead magnet

A lead magnet is not a smaller version of your offer. It sits earlier on your journey map, at Interest or Trust, and it has its own job: to be useful on its own so that trust is earned before anything is asked for. But it fails the same way an offer fails. For whom, what changes, and why now still have to be answerable.

Optional. Only if a free thing genuinely belongs on your map.
You do not need a bigger megaphone. You need something worth amplifying.
Own your direction.
